Aberdeen striker Lazetic moves to Armenian club Noah
Aberdeen Football Club has completed the sale of striker Marko Lazetic to Armenian Premier League runners-up Noah for an undisclosed sum. The 22-year-old Serbian forward had arrived at the Scottish club from AC Milan last summer but struggled to establish himself in the first team.
The Scottish Premiership side confirmed the transfer of the 22-year-old Serbian international on Tuesday. Lazetic, who joined the Dons from Italian giants AC Milan in the summer of 2023, has departed for an undisclosed fee.
During his tenure at Pittodrie, Lazetic made a total of 36 appearances across all competitions, with 14 of those being starts and 22 coming from the bench. He managed to find the back of the net on four occasions for the club. Despite having a contract that was set to run until the summer of 2029, the forward was not part of manager Stephen Robinson's plans for the upcoming campaign.
Noah FC, who finished as runners-up in the Armenian Premier League, have secured the services of the young striker. The move signals a fresh start for Lazetic, who will be looking to reignite his career in Armenia after a difficult spell in Scotland.
Aberdeen offloading Lazetic is a sensible move to free up wages and make space for players who fit the manager's vision. A clean break is best for all parties.
