Bemidji American Legion Softball Rallies for Tournament Success

The Bemidji American Legion softball team experienced a weekend of resilience at the New London tournament. Despite an initial stumble, the squad refused to be defeated, staging a remarkable comeback to secure a winning record.

The Titans began their tournament play with back-to-back defeats. They first fell to Dassel-Cokato by a narrow 3-2 margin, followed by a 5-3 loss against Annandale. These early setbacks could have derailed their aspirations, but the team demonstrated significant grit.

Following the two opening losses, Bemidji's Post 14 regrouped and delivered a dominant performance in their subsequent games. They secured a decisive 13-4 victory over Minneapolis, followed by a 7-4 win against BOLD. Their strong showing continued with a tight 3-1 triumph over Maple Lake-Willow River, capping off an impressive streak of four consecutive wins to finish the tournament 4-2 overall.
