Celtic renew pursuit of Danish striker Kasper Hogh
Glasgow giants Celtic have reportedly rekindled their interest in Danish forward Kasper Hogh. The 25-year-old was a target for the Scottish club in the January transfer window, but a potential deal was complicated by his current club, Bodo/Glimt, progressing in the UEFA Champions League.
The Hoops are understood to have been monitoring Hogh's situation and are now said to be considering a fresh approach. Celtic were linked with a move for the striker earlier this year, with reports suggesting a fee in the region of £7 million was being considered.
However, Bodo/Glimt's successful run in Europe's premier club competition ultimately prevented any transfer from materialising during the winter window. With the Icelandic striker's performances continuing to attract attention, Celtic appear ready to make another attempt to secure his signature.
Celtic's persistence with Hogh suggests a clear strategic target, but they'll need to convince Bodo/Glimt to part with their man this time, especially if European qualification remains on the cards for the Norwegian club.
