Dundee United Boss Hints at New Signings After Cup Opener

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has indicated that the club is working on bringing in "one or two" new players. This comes after his team secured a 1-0 victory in their Premier Sports Cup group stage opener.
The Tannadice side kicked off their Premier Sports Cup campaign with a narrow 1-0 win against Stirling Albion. The decisive goal came late in the match, with Zac Sapsford converting a penalty in added time to secure all three points.
Speaking after the game, manager Jim Goodwin shared his thoughts on the club's transfer activity. He revealed that the team is actively pursuing new acquisitions, with potential new faces on the horizon.
"We've got one or two in the pipeline at the moment that are bubbling away," Goodwin told Premier Sports, suggesting that further additions to the squad could be imminent as the club looks to strengthen ahead of the upcoming season.
While a win is a win, Dundee United's reliance on a late penalty against lower-league opposition hardly screams impending title challenge. However, Goodwin's proactive stance on transfers offers a glimmer of hope for the Terrors.
