Mattison Kwarta of the Grand Forks Spitfires emerged victorious in the Home Run Challenge held during the Northwoods League All-Star Game on Saturday night. Kwarta, a freshman out of San Diego State and hailing from Red Bluff, California, showcased his power at the mid-summer classic. He has been a dominant offensive force for the Spitfires this season, leading the team with an impressive .493 batting average and a league-leading 13 home runs.
