New York City FC has revealed their strong interest in acquiring Christian Pulisic for Major League Soccer, though AC Milan has shown no inclination to part with the prominent American international. NYCFC president Brad Sims commented on the widespread appeal of the player within the league.

The president of Major League Soccer club New York City FC, Brad Sims, has indicated that the club would be keen to bring American star Christian Pulisic to the league. Sims made the remarks on Thursday during an event designed to promote the upcoming restart of the MLS season.

However, Sims acknowledged that a transfer for the USMNT's talisman is unlikely at this stage, as Italian giants AC Milan, Pulisic's current club, are not showing any interest in selling the player. The sentiment among MLS leadership appears to be that Pulisic would be a highly sought-after asset.

"If you ask any of my 29 counterparts across the league if they would be interested in having Christian Pulisic on their team, I’m pretty sure you’d get 29 yesses," Sims stated, highlighting the perceived value Pulisic would bring to any MLS team.

💬 SideLine Take

NYCFC's public pursuit of Pulisic, while ultimately a pipe dream given AC Milan's stance, serves as a strong signal of the league's ambitions and the player's marketability.
