Texas Rider Survives Terrifying Bareback Bronc Incident

Rustin Jeffcoat, representing Splendora, Texas, found himself in a precarious position during the bareback bronc competition at the IFYR event held in Shawnee. The athlete was dislodged from his animal and subsequently dragged across the arena floor.

The incident, which saw Jeffcoat involuntarily participating in the bronc's movements, lasted for approximately 40 seconds. Despite the alarming visuals of being dragged, initial reports indicate that the young cowboy managed to escape the ordeal without sustaining severe injuries.

The IFYR is a notable event in the rodeo circuit, and while Jeffcoat's ride ended abruptly, his ability to walk away relatively unscathed is a significant relief for the competitor and the rodeo community.
