Andy Price Earns Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt After Nearly Two Decades

The path to a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt is notoriously demanding, and for Spruce Creek football coach Andy Price, it represented an 18-year commitment. His pursuit of this martial arts milestone was not a straight line, encountering the usual life interruptions and physical setbacks that often test an individual's resolve.

Price's journey included periods where his progress stalled, even reaching a point where his purple belt became sun-damaged, a testament to the extended duration of his training. Despite these obstacles, his dedication never wavered, culminating in the achievement of the coveted black belt.

Now holding the highest rank in the discipline, Price is not resting on his laurels. He has transitioned into a leadership role, guiding and inspiring others who are on their own quest to earn their black belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
