R-BAR's 5K Run for Shelter Set for October 3rd
The Reading-Berks Association of Realtors (R-BAR) has announced its seventh annual 5K Run for Shelter will take place on October 3rd at Gring's Mill Recreation Area. This event aims to bring the community together to support local housing organizations.
The annual community fundraising event, organized by the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors (R-BAR), is scheduled for October 3rd. This year marks the seventh iteration of the 5K Run for Shelter, a popular gathering for runners, walkers, and families.
The chosen venue for this year's race is the Gring’s Mill Recreation Area, located in Spring Township. The event is designed to foster community engagement while raising crucial funds for two key local housing initiatives.
Benefiting from the proceeds of the run are Habitat for Humanity of Berks County and Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater. Both organizations play a vital role in addressing housing needs within the community, and the R-BAR's event seeks to bolster their efforts through participation and donations from local businesses and individuals.
It's commendable that R-BAR continues to rally the community for such a vital cause. The real estate community often has a vested interest in local housing stability, making this a fitting initiative.
